Description

During this workshop, teachers will learn how to design and execute thematic learning projects that both enhance academic skills and strengthen college and career readiness. Participants will be introduced to the seven common phases of Project-Based Learning: 1) Identifying a topic, problem, or issue for examination, 2) Sharing prior knowledge and experience, 3) Planning and assigning tasks, 4) Researching the topic or issue, 5) Conceptualizing the product, 6) Creating and presenting the product, and 7) Evaluating the project and assessing learning. Participants will learn how to align projects to skill-based and content-based learning objectives and will review examples.
